Progress Reports/Interviews

Learning Skills Anchor Charts

Today we brainstormed what responsibility and organization look like.  These are the two learning skills that are the focus for the progress report.  Students also completed a self-assessment checklist based on the criteria we use when assessing these skills.  Here is what we came up with.

Spelling Quiz #2

We will have our second spelling quiz this Friday. The words this week will be:
finally, enough, brought, laughed, maybe, couldn't vision, character, direction, and special.

Raz Kids

If students wish to log on to Raz Kids (a reading comprehension program) from home, my teacher username is sbeardsley1. 

United Way Fundraising Events.

In order to raise money for the United Way, our school will be holding a few fundraising events over the next few weeks.  

We will be having "Fun Fridays" for the next four weeks. Students are asked to bring in a donation of any amount.  

Friday October 14- Crazy Hair/Hat Day

Friday October 21- Favourite Sports Jersey

Friday October 28- Black and Orange Day

Friday November 4- Pyjama Day

We will also be holding a Jack-O-Lantern Raffle on October 28th.  Each class has been asked to enter one decorated (carved or painted) jack-o-lantern into the display to be raffled off.  Students will be able to purchase tickets for $0.50 or one three for $1.00 to put towards the pumpkin of their choice. Names will be drawn and jack-o-lanterns sent home that Friday. If any of you have any fun ideas or special carving/decorating ideas we would appreciate your input/donations.
